Ginger Thomson’s speaking career began at the age of three when her broadcaster father recorded her voice for radio commercials. Today, Ginger is still using her presentation skills to sell, motivate and inspire. Ginger’s life has taken some interesting twists and turns, from being chosen Miss South Dakota USA in 1977 to winning the title of Brookings City Councilwoman in 2005. She holds a Master of Science in Journalism from South Dakota State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of South Dakota. She was a television news anchor and reporter at KELO-TV and a producer for South Dakota Public Television. She then started her own marketing and media production company, TV Productions, Inc., in Brookings where she was a writer, producer, and on-air talent. She has won more than 200 awards for excellence in the field of communications. She has worked in the financial industry as a business development executive, in the non-profit arena as a development officer, in the economic development sector, and as an adjunct professor in mass communication.
